FALL INTO TREND: WHAT TO WEAR?!

It is officially Fall! Although in some states, you are still in summer styles full force, and the heat doesn't appear to be letting up on its blazing rays. For those that live and breathe for oversized clothes, tall boots, and leggings galore, that time is here. Of course, we are in the transition phase. While it's summer in the day, at night it's necessary to keep a sweater on hand for cool breezes during those romantic walks with your man :) Trend alert, Fall is now in effect!

SOMETHING BORROWED, RED AND NOT BLUE

Fashion runways flooded with red, it's bold tone adds a splash of color to any outfit through jackets, pants, scarves, shoes, or even a bright lip. Black is a best seller during let's say all months of the year, but this fall try pairing your outfit with a dazzle of Aurora Red.

DID SOMEONE SAY IT'S BOOT SEASON?!

Glorious time for boot lovers, dig deep in your closets and dust off the good ole cold weather collection. It's not always, the taller the better, this year bold ankle booties are trending alongside knee-high and our beloved thigh high pair that dress up those comfy leggings. When you think of boots, whether short or tall, think of it as a statement piece to complete your look.

Futuristic metallic and slouchy styles are great pieces to pair with pants and a trench. Also, for those bold enough to keep dresses in rotation during colder weather, statement boots can be matched with a belted coat.

BUCKLE UP!

An accessory that can add so much with so little effort, belts are everything this season. During the cold months it's easy to lose sight of your waistline, so something as simple as a belted look can accentuate your curves under all the mounds of fabric.

SUCH A THING AS TOO MANY PRINTS?

Go all out, but maybe not as the same time with stripe, plaid, winter floral, and checker prints. If adding prints to add some flare to your look, the rule is to not go overboard. The golden rule of not pairing two prints together has died, so experiment, show your creativity.

Since Fall has finally arrived, consider updating your wardrobe with any combination of this season's trends. From everyday street wear to runway fashions which are easily translated into ready to wear through vintage finds from local thrift stores. Trends for each season are fun, but there is no need to break the bank to stay in style. "Fashion is a statement, not an investment." -Carmen Excel Boutique
